Material and function
FKM is a fluoroelastomer selected for oil, fuel and temperature-sensitive sealing. Chemical compatibility and low-temperature flexibility depend on the compound and cure system; evaluate the selected grade against the actual fluid and operating range.

Manufacturing and customization
Extrusion forms a continuous cross-section. Profiles can be cut to length, joined or fitted with attachment features according to the assembly and selected material.
Design considerations
Select the material grade for contact media, operating temperature and mechanical loading. Include the installed compression, mating surfaces and expected service conditions when reviewing the component. Confirm performance using the selected compound and a representative sample.
