Shielding tapes combine conductive foil or fabric with an adhesive system. They are used around enclosure seams, cable interfaces and grounding paths. Electrical continuity, contact pressure and the adhesive type affect the assembled result.

Manufacturing and customization

Materials can be supplied as tape rolls, strips or converted shapes. Adhesive backing and lamination are selected around the substrate, bond requirement and installation.

Design considerations

Select the material grade for contact media, operating temperature and mechanical loading. Include the installed compression, mating surfaces and expected service conditions when reviewing the component. Confirm performance using the selected compound and a representative sample.
