EPDM gasket material
EPDM is used for gaskets exposed to water, weathering and ozone. SEAL supplies solid and foam forms; solid grades support strength and dimensional stability, while foam grades conform to gaps and provide cushioning.
Processing
- Compression molding for shaped parts.
- Precision die cutting for profiles and bolt holes.
- Laser, waterjet or oscillating-knife cutting according to material and geometry.
Selection considerations
EPDM is generally a poor choice for contact with mineral oils and fuels. Choose by the contact media, required compression, temperature and assembly geometry, and confirm the selected compound specifications.
