Material and function
MPP foam sheets are polypropylene-based foam materials used for impact cushioning, energy absorption and reusable protection. Density and thickness should be matched to repeated compression and the installed load.

Manufacturing and customization
Sheet stock can be cut into seals, cushions and protective components. Thickness, hardness or density, backing layers and the cutting route are selected around the final part.
Design considerations
Select the material grade for contact media, operating temperature and mechanical loading. Include the installed compression, mating surfaces and expected service conditions when reviewing the component. Confirm performance using the selected compound and a representative sample.
