FVMQ combines a silicone backbone with fluorinated side groups. It is used for seals that need flexibility across temperature changes while contacting selected oils or fuels. Confirm solvent compatibility, mechanical loading and the selected compound.
Rubber is compounded, formed in a mold and cured into three-dimensional parts. Select the material, tooling and finishing around the required geometry and production volume.
Select the material grade for contact media, operating temperature and mechanical loading. Include the installed compression, mating surfaces and expected service conditions when reviewing the component. Confirm performance using the selected compound and a representative sample.
